What is drop shipment ? is there setup required for this?

hai ,
drop shipment is the scenario which is practical,
let us take an example,
for a customer 'a' with shipto location 'b'.
we got a sales order for 100 items from 'a',instead we have 50 items,then we approach to third party vendor to dropship the 100 items directly to the customer to the ship to location 'c' otherthan the scheduled shipto location'b',
here with vendor we have PO,AP payments,
and with customer AR invoice.
here the souce is 'external' .this is the important setup.
we have different statusses within dropshipment.

For Drop ship, u need to do setup across Inventory/ OM / PO.

Its not 2 step process , it involves lots of setting attribute to acheive this.
