I guess it’s a Tree.

Its branches go up and the roots go down when it grows. But it doesn’t move on its own.

No. its not like dat.
We alwys say that "these stairs goes up or these stairs goes down"
but stairs never move.
So stairs has to be an answer.
I think you want only a specific answer which you can only think of.
