Here is my answer....
Next number in this series is 24,78. Logic: 1,3,,5 th terms incrase the number 4,6,... 2,4,6 th terms increase the number 12,18,.... Is there any problem for this logic? ----------------- suresh

Ohhh now i got why the number 8 will come there....
Mutiply the intial number by 3 and then divide the next number by 2. i think this is the logic all of you used...what about my answer ? ------------------------ suresh Last edited by psuresh1982; 01-13-2007 at 03:38 AM.

i dont know what concept others used.(no one explained it) by the way -ans what i expected was 27 the sequence goes like this *2, /2 ..... bye

thats what iam telling suresh
your ans should be 26(and not 24)!If i go with your formula see 12-8= 4 18-12=6 so the next term should be 18+8 and not 18+6 r u getting me? bye
