Can any one give a detailed explanation for Software Testing certificate (ISTQB) and what are the procedures and minimum requirement for writing this exam? If any sample dumps for ISTQB exam question?

Hello,

the istqb was officially founded as an international testing qualifications board in edinburgh in november 2002. The istqb is responsible for the "istqb certified tester", which is an international qualification scheme and the qualifications in the scheme are based on a syllabus.

There is an examination covering the contents of the syllabus. After the examination, each successful participant receives the “istqb-certified-tester” certificate. There r 2 levels foundation and advanced. For the advance level one has to pass the foundation level n should have 24 months of testing experience. The foundation level exam consists of approximately 35 to 40 multiple choice questions.

They are weighted according to difficulty (1 to 3 points per question). An exam amounts to approximately 70 points total, of which more than 60% must be attained in order to pass.

The exam is a closed book exam. You have 90 minutes to finish.

ISTQB is the board of examination all the countries are agreeing.
ISEB is for UK countries.

Total 40 question to answer. 26 question to be answered correctly to pass the exam. u will get the result approximately 2 weeks later and certificate after 6 weeks.

1 week is sufficient to prepare for this certification. i got the materials from net. can any body let me know how to upload a document. then i can share my documents related to ISTQB. i got teh certificate just a week before.

ISTQB for US and ISEB for UK. both are having the same syllabus, but the conducted board is different....

You just go through Istqb foundation level syllabus consists of 50 pages.

I have done Certified Software Test Professional Level 1 (CSTP-1) certification by International Institute of Software Testing(IIST) USA.. WHich have 80% as passing criteria.
Now I heard about ISTQB, this has passing criteria as 60%..
I am confused as which is more recognised which has more value overall in India as well as abroad..
Please help..

you will just need to logon to ISTQB site and fill the online exam form ,

they will provide you a registration id. just note down the id, and check the mails , which you would have given while filling the exam form.


In mail , they will send you the details of Fee-structure and postal address to send the D.D.

Hi iam a new here , first of all let me introduce myself iam lakshmi i did B.E computer science (2005) soon after college i got married and moved to US in h4 visa , then family , kid so 3 yrs i never had a idea of doing any course or to get in to job , now iam planning to work but i dnt have work experince and my knowledge is zero .....

Few of my frndis sggested s/w testing and SAP , i cant really sit and write programmes now i want to learn something new , easy , which has scope in US since iam in US have appiled for my H1 . please help me out with this .
