Re: Drop down box test cases
If I am not wrong, you need a checklist for verifying Drop down box, list box, scroll bar, Radio button, Tab, Check box (Functionality). Mail me if you require that. There are not as such test cases for them.

Re: Drop down box test cases
hi friend..
I don't think so there is a need to write test cases for tab and scroll bar, just check the tab validation is done correctly on the forms.. (ie)., in a form for ex there are 10 fields, just click on the tab key and view whether the control is transferred to the each fields or not.. Scroll bar just check whether the scroll bar is working or not mostly scroll bar will work. Thanks Deepasree |

Re: Drop down box test cases
Hi friend
Before writing test cases you should analyze the basic functionality of the list box for ex i have written the test cases for year and new list items present in the list box. Note : while writing the test cases for list i have assumed the list items already exists and then i am just selecting the list items that’s it… project : write the project name here module : write the module name here test date :12.08.2008 test objective:- list box validation prepared by :write your name test case no:- project name_test case number test data new and year are the list items step no : 1 steps : select the list item data : year valid : year invalid : nil expected results : the year list item will be displayed actual results : selected list item year will be displayed in the list box step no : 2 steps : select the list item data : new valid : new invalid : nil expected results : the new list item will be displayed actual results : selected list item new will be displayed in the list box radio button Before writing test cases you should analyze the basic functionality of radio button for ex i have written the test cases for year and new radio button note : while writing the test cases for list i have assumed the radio already exists and then i am just selecting the radio button and viewing the functionality of the radio button which is selected and also note by default which radio button is selected project : write the project name here module : write the module name here test date 12.08.2008 test objective:- radiobutton validation prepared by write your name test case no:- project name_test case number test data new and year step : 1 steps : select the radio button data : year valid : year invalid : nil expected results : the year radio button will be selected actual results : the year radio button is selected step : 2 steps : select the radio button data : new valid : new invalid date :nil expected results : the new radio button will be selected, and year radio button will be deselected actual results : the new radio button is selected and the year radio button is deselected Thanks deepasree Last edited by deepasree; 08-18-2008 at 09:47 AM. |

Re: Drop down box test cases
Hai friend,
Note : while writing the test cases for list i have assumed that I am going to trigger the main menu and it contains sub items named test1 test2. project : write the project name here module : write the module name here test date :write the date here test objective: Drop down menu prepared by :write your name test case no: project name_test case number test data new and year are the list items step no : 1 steps : Trigger on the main menu valid: Place the mouse cursor over the menu invalid : nil expected results : On mouse over sub items present in the list is displayed actual results : On mouse over sub items present in the list is displayed When triggering on the menu the sub items will be displayed. Now write test cases to select the sub menu item if needed. Thanks Deepa |
