You never did let go...
As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God, because He was my Friend. But then, instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help with ways that were my own. At last I snatched them back and cried, "How can You be so slow?" "My child," He said, "what could I do" You never did let go." -Unknown |

Re: You never did let go...
Thank you for posting this, Lokesh. I searched for it and came across your posting. FWIW, there is an author and is is not the prolific "Unkown".
According to circle-of-light . com the poem is credited to Ms. Lauretta P. Burns who wrote it in 1957. Thanks again, Pradeep |

Re: You never did let go...
Well well well... I would not be more happier than to acknowledge the real author of this wonderful piece of life enriching poem which stays close to my heart, always reminding me to allow God to work according to his plan and not as per my whim.
I guess today it takes on a new meaning, A poem which found its real author. I am more than happy to give credit than to keep it remain Unknown Thank you Pradeep Thank you Ms. Lauretta P. Burns Thank you Circle of Light |
