Hi,
We have a project to automate an flash player 9 application. When we tried to record the actions performed on this application, it is showing as a MacromediaFlashplayerActiveX winobject. It is identifying the entire application as a single object, instead as individual objects. Could anyone help us in this... We are using QTP 9.2 version with following add-in's installed in it. a. ActiveX b. Flex (installed as suggested by couple of forums) c. Web d. Visual Basic Any replies would be greatly appreciated. ![]() thanks in advance, Lokesh |

Re: problem in identifying Flash player objects using QTP 9.2
Hi Lokesh,
Did you get any solution for the below post. Currently I'am also facing the same issue. When raised a issue with HP they asked me to contact Adope Techical Desk. Unfortunately the Adobe people are also not able to help me. They are telling that the Flex addin will only support application developed in Flex and it doesn't support web applications developed in .asp or others with flash contents. If you have got any solution please share it with me... ![]() Quote:

Re: problem in identifying Flash player objects using QTP 9.2
Hi, i have similar problem, a flashplayer on our website is not recognized by the QTP.
As I heard from our consultant partner, no flash application are recognized be QTP. You can try to define virtual objects, but it probably will not work so fine. regards MadMax |

Re: problem in identifying Flash player objects using QTP 9.2
HI Lokesh,
Just try this out. Speak to the developer and remove the WMODE = OPAQUE in the html file you are accessing. There are 3 types of wmode. they are window, opaque, transparent. By default if no WMODE is pecified in the html file then it takes window mode and it should be working fine. it worked out for me. Do not specify the OPAQUE mode. AgathiyaN |
