I am having the same problem with the excel add-in for Quality Center 9.2 with Vista and Excel 2007. Clicking the 'next' button on screen 5 does not do anything. Please help! Thanks so much!

    Just try the following

    1. Uninstall the excel addin and install the it again(do not repair or modify)

    2. If that does not solve the issue try creating a folder by the name 'Tasks' (if not already present) under the following path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\XLSTART\TDAddin\
This is where the map files are store. Also make sure you have admin rights over the TDAddin folder

Re: "Next" Button not working while mapping for export from excel to QC for Test

    Hi,

I am facing the same issue in Vista.
The Folder "TDAddin" is created under following path after installing Addin in Vista "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLSTART\TDAddin". I also did the following steps to :
    1) Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Excel Options.
    2) Click the Add-Ins category.
    3) In the Manage box, click Excel Add-ins, and then click Go.
To load an Excel add-in, do the following:
In the Add-Ins available box, select the check box next to the add-in that you want to load, and then click OK.
    4) Tip If the add-in that you want to use is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Browse, and then locate the add-in (TDexcelAddin.xla). Add-ins that are not available on your computer can be downloaded from Downloads on Office Online.
    5) If the add-in is not currently installed on your computer, click Yes to install it.

Issue still exists. Can anybody help please....

I've just had the same issue.
It is fixed by giving yourself explicit permissions to do everything on the directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\XLSTART\TDAddin

Thank you very much. Creating "Tasks" folder under the following path did help to resolve my issue.

This also sounds like a permissions issue.
Try and find the file created for the map and check its permissions also its directory.

Re: "Next" Button not working while mapping for export from excel to QC for Test

Hi, i think you may have to follow the below mentioned process: if you upgrade to a new version of microsoft excel after installing the quality center microsoft excel add-in, you must copy the tdaddin folder and the tdexceladdin.xla file from :\program files\microsoft office\office\xlstart to :\program files\microsoft office\office\xlstart. For example, if you upgraded microsoft excel xp (2002) to microsoft excel 2003, copy the tdaddin folder and the tdexceladdin.xla file from :\program files\microsoft office\office10\xlstart to :\program files\microsoft office\office11\xlstart thanks, dileep

Re: "Next" Button not working while mapping for export from excel to QC for Test

Issue 1: While uploading testcases from Excel to QC via Excel Addin; it gets stuck at Step 5 and doesnt proceed further
Solution: 1. You need to have create and delete permission to create folders in QC
    2. We need to create a folder 'Tasks' at the location C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLSTART\TDAddin
Once step 1 and 2 are done then mapping will be possible

Issue 2: Not able to save the map while loading testcases from Excel to QC via Excel Addin
    Solution:
    1. You need to assign 'full control' access to folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\XLSTART
Only after assigning fullcontrol access; map gets saved.
