    Static IP in Load runner

Hi, While adding server resources in LR8.0,it is not adding for static IP, it is saying that you cannot access the resources. but for remaing LAN IP's it is adding .

whether for static IP we should change any setting to add the server resources in controller for LR8.0?

Re: Static IP in Load runner

    Hi,

Having a static IP should not hinder you at all when monitoring server resources.

Why does this machine have a static IP Address while the others get addresses through DHCP? Is this machine on a different LAN? Are there specific firewall policies prohibiting access to this machine?

    Some things to try:
1)Make sure you can communicate with the server from the Controller machine? (Ping it)
2)If using MOFW setup, make sure port 443 is open bi-directionally in the firewall.
3)What type of server are you monitoring? If windows, ensure that perfmon is running on the windows machine. If unix, make sure the m_statdaemon is running.

Let us know what you find out.
