    Applets based on BC

I have got 2 applets which are based on 2 BC's. Based on a particular field value in parent I would like to make a particular field in the child BC read only.

Kindly suggest me the options available in configuration.

    As per my understanding,

Assume Parent BC as BC1 to which the Applet1 is associated with.
Child BC as BC2 to which Applet2 is associated with.

    As per ur query,
When a field say field1 in Applet1 holds a value say "abc", then the field2 in Applet2 should be made read only.

    1. Set the searchspec of the Applet1 to the field1.
    2. if the value of field1 = "abc", then query for the join field or primary key of the BC2 which is displayed in the Applet2.
    3. When these two matches [field in BC1 = field in BC2 , where Applet1 and Applet2 displays the related information of a single record], then set the Property "ReadOnly" of the field2 to true.

hope this will meet ur requirement.

Please correct me if i'm wrong .
