    Re: hi

Master test plan is for the entire project.

Detailed test plan is different for different levels of testing, like for unit level detailed test plan.

Re: test plan and master test plan

    Hi all!
Master Test Plan is for the entire whole big project( applicable for big projects).
Module level test plan also will be there if there somany modules in that project.
For automation also, there will be a seperate test plan, (automation test plan ) if that automation is also a bigger task in the big project.
Normally test lead or who leads the team (psudo lead), will prepare the test plan.
QA manager will first review and approve it and will send it for approval to the remaining teams related to that project.
Test plan will tell every thing including what type of test strategies they are going to use for the testing of that project/module.
QA manager will sit with the team leads and all together will decide first and will send it to the remining teams for approval.

Anyone please correct me, if iam wrong.
