    String and StringBuffer

    What is String? What is StringBuffer? what is the difference between String and StingBuffer? Can we directly manipulate String and does the changes effect to that particular object? if NOt why? If YES how can we do that?

    hai,
    Strings are immutable Objects(whose content can't be modified)where as StringBuffers are Mutable Objects(whose cntent can be modified).
