Getting rid of task on the PC

You can at last get rid of tasks on the computer from the command line by using 'taskkill /pid' and the task number, or just 'tskill' and the process number.

Find that out by typing 'tasklist', which will also tell you a lot about what's going on in your system.

Once again, isn't Operating Systems > Windows a more appropriate place for this thread?

This would be very very useful.

    But,
Where will I get the task number of a perticular task, or are they numbered in a serial order.

Well, in his first post Lokesh mentioned
Find that out by typing 'tasklist', which will also tell you a lot about what's going on in your system
So, type that command and see. You might as well get the process ID and more
