    QTP unable to record VB Elements

    I have QTP installed with Visual basic.
    When i try to record the Vb application,
    QTP is recording it as Window application.
    Only Window is recorded.the elements have not been recorded....how to solve this problem.

    It is very much needed for me.please share the answer if anyone knows

    Can you provide me some more information What kind of application you are running client server or Web.
    In first resolution, I think it is Client Server application and when you tries to record script it identifies as Window Form. In this case, if you would like to find elements. you have to give entire hierarchy of object to navigate to your test to that particular field

    e.g. Parent Object is "Type= Window Form,Title=Google Application"
    Child Object is like "Type= btnbutton,Name= Google Search"

    Then it has to be written in one sentence as
    "Type= Window Form,Title=Google Application;\;"Type= btnbutton,Name= Google Search"

    or if its web based app then you can do it using descriptive programming

    Try using Virtual Objects.

    I am sure you must have triied running your application using SAP add in in QTP. Frankly,I never worked on SAP but I have below resolution. Lets see whether its works,

    You have to create hierarchy of objects as I wrote in my previous mail. Like while creating Data, I have to enter Name of Data is "Kaustubh"

    Then it should look like,

    Window("Contains Title, child or parent object).Page.Textbox.value
