If u have a Test Management Tool like Quality Center, u can upload the script and hence maintain the logs of execution result.

    else
u need to understand the batch runner utility for storing the QTP result's.

You can add the QTP script using Add Option in Batch Menu.

simply run the batch and ur test scripts are executed in succession.

Re: where to upload the prepared script????

    hi friend..

    ........You are grand.....

I have tried the option as you have mentioned above .. but it failed to accept the test cases present in .xls format..

so i have recorded a sample aplication in QTP using mercury tours application ie.,

    1.enter the login name,
    2.password
3.clicked on the sign-in button... and closed the browser..

Then as u said i opened batch runner and i have inserted the test named login (which i have created). I clicked on F5 the test ran...
but where can view the result...

    Please let me know friend....

    Thanks

QC is powerful test management tool, it will maintain several logs of execution.

Batch Runner :> just in case one can't afford a QC licence & the project is not having extensive test management, then u create the mbt files & just execute whenever there is a release

    hi nawab...

we discussed about the batch runner the information u shared was easy to understand and u r holding excellent knowledge ..

if u don't mind can u share the knowledge in Quality centre so that i can gain some knowledge.... my first question is ... how to check in my system whether i have rights to access Quality centre or not..

    waiting for your reply...

    Thanks

    1. Admin should give u access to Quality Center server.

    2. Once step 1 is done u need to select the Quality Center option in QTP & select the urls and authentication attributes for connectivity with QC Server.
