    how to automate web application

    Hi,

i am getting the problem in using the qtp as i am a self starter .
My problem is how to use the QTP as i have an web application in my hand

My application is basically a elearnig web app where there is the student registeration.

once registered a message is shown "student registered sucessfully"

& a mail is sent to the student for login

Also there is another web application as Admin panel to manage the application. An admin Area is there in which once the student get registered will be shown as unverified member in the member listing.

i wanted to automate this thing.

Any body please could help me out to explain the process of using the QTP in this case.

    Thanks,

Thumbs up Re: how to automate web application

start recording the manual process in QTP

    1. TO begin with, launch QTP & start the recording.

    2. Perform the operations on the portal apps as per ur requirement.

    3. Once done ...run the Script

    4. There might some hickups..due to some de-normlized objects/data parameterization...U can query the forum for specific issues.

    will be happy to help.

    Regards,
    Nawab
