Identify New Records
Hi,
Any one please answes to my question.
Today i have inserted some records in target.If i come tomorrow some more records are present in source table.
How can i identify those new records and i need to insert only those records which are new.
I am new to informatica tool.Please help me in this regards

Hi,
You can use lookup transformation to identify the records presents in the target table.
here target table will be lookup table.after that you can put one router to insert/update new records

Do a lookup on target table with its primary key.If row already exists then update else insert...This can be done using a router transformation and an update strategy transformation.

Hi
is there any field with date in source.
If it is then write SQL overide in SQ to get the new records from source.

Just use a update transformation and give the option dd_update in Update strategy expression, when u run it new records get inserted or old ones get updated. I dnt think there is a need for lookup and all to just load new records.
