How to use QTP for variable data
hi friends
1)I m begineer in QTP i have to automate a simple signup part of my web application ,i recorded the sign up part with parameterization for different user id , but when i run it ,it stops at word verification part ,as word verification can not be predicted by us it ,every time it is different.Is there any by which QTP can take such values without stopping?
2)I installed QTP on my laptop it got installed completely without any problem when i try to open installed QTP it asked me for type of application eg :-1)active x controls 2)web application 3)
visual basic . i tried individauually for all these options but nothing happens after selecting these options.there is no probm of license also
Pls reply soon as it is stopping me from moving further

1. Can you please elaborate on "word Verification"? It seems that the Parameterizations is from the DataTable?
2. The Screen that you are facing is that of the Addins that need to be selected for the Specific Applications that you are Automating.

word verification means for eg:- when use sign up on gmail it asks u to enter some words for verification purpose which is diffrent every time when u try to sign up .so i want to create 5 user using qtp in which i have to enter this word automatiically and create 5 different user ?

since word verification is used to deny Automation of Application by scripts that will hinder in your case if its a mandatory selection for the Page.
can't help on that...
If your mere usage is of testing a login application, please try to capture the word image Control in QTP(guess its not possible) and try to extract the Text at RunTime...
