Need free software for C programs

Hi All,

My wife is planning to start her career in C. Can any one let me know where can I get free c editor to practise c programs?

There are plenty of editors for mulitple languages, like notepad++, gvim, turboc or emacs, googling for them will give u the results.

some are just editors, others have compilers in them....

but i am not able to get free ones in google.

well there are many like borland c ,turbo c etc

i guess its not free

Well, My attempt to post the links didnt get through. Hope you got the softwares by now, since its been sometime for u to search. If not, then google website and type the required softwares names and search for them.

DEV-C++ is a free software utility which can be used to write c/c++ programs.
It has got compiler.Please find the link to download the software.
