Whats the difference between a static class and a singleton class. One which i know is static is initialized at run time while singleton class can be initialized dynamically though both static and singleton classes are of the same use. Any other difference is appreciated.

singleton classes you create one object of the class and use that throughout the application. In case of static class you do not create any object but call any methods referencing through class name.[this is my guess only]
