how important is it to have knowledge on test director
manual testing is all about wrinintg test cases manually right and wht concepts i need to be thorough with to get a job on manualtesting

hi this is amrit . i want to tell u that u can go for testing training . they will teach u everything abt manual testing right from the beginning.
it includes:
software development lifescycle, types of testing, kinds of testing, quality assurance and like..
i want learn manual testing from home and get a job
i am under medication
so plz tell me wht concepts i have to be throrough with to get a job ion manual testing
plz tell me where shold i start from

This is Gajanan Chaudhari. i'm a at Sr position on one of a CMM level 5 company working as a Testing Engg. if u want to start u'r career in software testing and that also in manual testing then just do not attend the class but read some books also like "testing tools", or "software testing technic" also read the software engg book also it help's u to understand the SDLC and software work. then u will attend the interview and get a better job in software. if u want a software testing Glossary then plz wright to me i'll send it to u...

You can learn Manual testing being at home..all you need is time and materials to study..and some friends like in this forum to clear the doubts..
For manual testing...need to start from the testing basics,testing methodlogies, SDLC,STLC,Requirement traceability matrix,Test plan, test cases..and all..when you google it you can get lot of docs to go thr..best of luck..

Hi siyaa.This is Hemanth here.u want a job on manual testing definetely u ll get the job. Test Director is a one of the defect tracking tool.but most of the companies used this one. but some of the companies r used their own tools.as a manual tester u should know atleast of the bug tracking tool.it may bugziila,ttp,or some other tools. they are very revalent to the other tools.dont worry about test director just it is defect tracking.

Test Director and Quality Center are test management tool.
For a fresher in testing, generally work comes is execute the test case and report the bug if any.
He need not to worry about management process.So, you also do the same.
Learn to write and execute test case and bug life cycle.It's enough for a fresher in testing.
