I am not able to closed the connection

Hi dear members....

I am woking in a Java platform. At present am in application type project.in my project i using mysql as backend. Whenever database acess is required . connect the database and I retrive the data fron the database.. but I am not able to closed the connection... so this type method require so much of able to connection when 10 users open the 10 frame..so i thing is bad idea of coding...give one idea... that when i loged into my project the connection must open after complete my all completed all my work and i logout the connection then I imust close the connection...
Tell me how i do that...

You just need to close the connection object like .
conectionobject _name.close();
