Age of Shahrukh

Hi everyone,
Try this. The age of Amit and Irfan is 2 and 4 respectively. But the age of Gopal and Salman is 4 and 6 respectively. What is the age of Shahrukh?

I think the answer is 6. Is it correct?

There is a definite pattern being followed.

is it 10?
please confirm it.

I think its " 6 "

I followed the following rule,
AMIT(4 letters)---2 yrs
IRFAN(5 letters)--4 years
GOPAL(5 letters)-4 yrs
SALMAN(6 letters)--6 yrs

so for the with odd number of letters , the age is one less than the number of letters.
but for names having even number of letters, it is following a pattern.
like for AMIT age is 2 yrs (half the number of letter), for SALMAN age is 6 yrs(equal to the number of letters)
so if we follow this pattern, Sharukh (8 letters) shud be of 4 yrs :)

Let me make it simple this time. I am following a definite pattern
for all the names. There is no partiality between odd or even names. Well, let me give you the hint as the answer. The answer is 10. If anyone gets it then explain the process.

SALMAN is of 6 letters and his age is--6 yrs.
Shahrukh is of 8 letters and his age should be 10 years.

As the length of the name is increased by 2 letters and the age is increased by 4 years.

So the shahrukh age should be 10 years.

I am right?

Yours Logic:confused: seeming to be correct and having some logic. But you have written [COLOR="DarkRed"]'sharukh'[/COLOR] in place of [B][COLOR="Green"]SHAHRUKH[/COLOR][/B] which is annoying as [COLOR="darkred"]'sharukh'[/COLOR] sound 7 char which gives answer as 6 yrs (based on your logic). BUt if it is [B][COLOR="Green"]SHAHRUKH[/COLOR][/B], then your answer is exactly correct; i.e.., 4 years...

The thing is you had devised another solution for this problem. Anyway, I accept that as per your logic no-one can question you.
OK. Now, if I say that that the pattern has something to do with vowels and consonants. I had taken specific values for each alphabet. And then devised the value. Any answers now?

It was a very good answer by you, though it was not what I thought. OK, though I am not entitled now to ask (as I have so many answers) but even then try to find a pattern in the alphabets(vowels and consonants) I have used in the names. I had assigned specific values to them. Just want you all to exercise your brains.

Shahrukh's age should be 10. I think the age is known to everyone.
The age is derived using the consonants of the names.

Name => Cons => Age
Amit => 2 => 2
Irfan => 3 => 4
Gopal => 3 => 4
Salman => 4 => 6
Shahrukh => 6 => 10

I think this is what Rajiv expects.

I am now giving my version of achieving the age of Shahrukh as 10. I had assigned 2 as a value to all the vowels in a name and -1 to all the consonants in the same name.
