In an Clock first observation, hour hand is exactly at the minute mark, and the minute hand is 6mins. ahead of it. Later, the clock is observed again. Now the hout hand is exactly on a different minute mark, and the minute hand is 7 mins. ahead of it. How much the time elapsed between the two observations?

At first observation time was 1:12 and at second observation time was 3:24
Hence answer is 2hrs 12 mins i.e. 132 mins

Solution:
hour hand goes from one minute mark to next minute mark in every 12 minutes.
So the hour hand would be at a minute mark at following times:
xx:00
xx:12
xx:24
xx:36
xx:48
Now we have to replace values of xx from 01-12 and check for result
if we replace xx with 01 and see time 01:12 then
hour hand will be at 6 minute mark and minute hand will be at 12 minute mark
hence minute hand is 6 minutes ahead of hour hand.
if we replace xx with 03 and see time 03:24 then
hour hand will be at 17 minute mark and minute hand will be at 24 minute mark
hence minute hand is 7 minutes ahead of hour hand.
Hence the two times are 01:12 and 03:24 and the difference is 2hrs and 12 minutes.
