To select Oracle DBA or Oracle Developer?

Hi friends!

I am a commerce graduate and have done the 2 years' diploma in software deveopment with special subject as Oracle (ver 6i) in 1995 which is outdated now. I have got 3 years' teaching experience. After a few years gap now I want to start my career. I am confused whether to select Oracle DBA or Oracle Developer and get certification. Which option will be better considering job opportunities and future prospects? My inclination is towards Oracle DBA but I don't know what are the job opportunities in Mumbai for fresh DBAs. Please answer my question as your views will be helpful in deciding my career.

as per my knowledge Oracle DBA is better

job oppurtunities is more for developer when compare than oracle dba..
but developer is fully program,if u r interested join as developer
