How to edit script in QTP 8.2 and i want to know how to parameterizing the data in QTP 8.2 any body please helpme out?
A parameter is avariable that is assigned a value from an external data source or generator.You can parameterize values in steps and checkpoints in your test or component. You can also parameterize the values of action parameters.
There are four types of parameters:
1. Test, action or component parameters
2. Data Table parameters
3. Environment variable parameters
4. Random number parameters
Data table parameterizing is common and easy to use.You can take help of QTP online help tutorial.
Store the data in the DataTable by giving the Column some name, let's say "Column1"
You can use this data by the following method:
Browser("Browser").Page("Page").WebEdit("WebEdit").Select DataTable("Column1", dtglobalsheet)
