Let Brother's present age = B
Let Sister's present age = S
Let present year ( like 2007) = P
B + S = 98 --- eq (1)
Sister age today = S
Year in which Brother's age was S = (P-B) + S
Sister's age in that year was = (P-B) + S - (P - S) = 2S - B
Hence B = 2[2S - B] ---eq (2)
Solving eq(1) and eq(2) we get B = 56 and S = 42
