Some tips for answering interview questions like what has been the greatest disappointment a person faced in his career life.
The answer to this question may vary depending upon the experiences faced by each in their career life. But whatever it is one can focus finally after putting their experiences that each experiences are learning and the disappointments faced were learning steps which made you to climb up the ladder one step without making those mistakes in future.
Scott first I like to thank for posting such a useful reply. Not only answering this question it also would definetly help me to face such situations if it happens.

Hello all, nice to join this group. Good to see the forum where experiences are shared. Coming to the post,
This kind of questions could fetch maximum points for a candidate in an interview. Most probably they are asked by assistant VP or VP of a department (where the candidate would be reporting if gets selected) when they interview candidates for their departmental requirements. So, they would be looking for people who are not so easily disappointed with happenings in the department or in their career. If your response to such question narrates an experience where it was more of your fault then somebody else’s, then, it would be appreciated by your interviewer. And as Scott has mentioned, if your response includes the point that it was a learning experience for you, it would add to the credit. Finally, if you can add a sentence or two where you show how you worked on it to avoid it next time and were successful, then you have scored all points. All the best.
Nice discusssion movng around. I feel if people could share their or their friends experiences in the interview for the questions posted it woul make the discussion even more useful as giving real example would be more beneficial.
hi sripri
never be negative!this is the only mantra to clear any interview. So even if the interviewer asks abt the disappointments, then ur ans should b something like this
" every human suffer from one or other disappointments, but to b successful u should not be disheartened by this, but should encourage u to work harder.Ofcourse by working hard u can b successfull"
I hop this will surely satisfy u!
Thanks
hi sripri
Don't get nervous
So even if the interviewer asks abt the disappointments, then u can answer like this
" every one will get dissappointments but we should not run far away from that ,that would be lesson for the next successful life.So don't discourage at that moment and try to over come by doing work hard confidently which makes u successfull"
Thanks
hi sripri.. nice question..
all the above answers were quite gud bt. all were generalised..
Wut i wantd to tell u is.. At times even hardwork doesn't lead to success.. hard work doesnt always mean right approach..
So jus take an example from ur life wch dint led to success and make it so intersting and tell them wut u learnt frm it.. and hw u changed ir approcah to it da next time..
I gues dis wud do
