Re: change in requirements
hi,
if the requirements are completely different from that of the previous requirements then the tester will have to prepare new testplan and execute accordingly.. but when the customer requirements are only enhancements then the tester has to prepare testplan for the enhancement and re-execute all the selected testcases(sort of regression testing).
hope this helps u

Re: change in requirements
good ?
i also got this doubt.
i say u this my level best
once the requirements finalised the development team and the testing team will go on developing and preparing the testcase documents. if any changes are asked by the client at this time there a chance to change . but the developer already developed the applicatin then client asks for the changes it
is not possible to change, but the development team that is the project manager can ask the client for more time and payment for that new changes.
that is the project manager says that we already that product. at this time if you ask the changes it takes lot of time ie we develop this again from the starting point onwards
this i think u understood
if any pls ask

Re: change in requirements
"suppose that there is a change in requirements(after testplan is done) then what is the job of a tester? how could a tester proceed, does he need to change the entire testplan or to look after those updated requirements?
If the requirement change is received after the test plan is done, the job of the tester here is to create new test cases for the change request. Then the test case will be reviewed and approved either by the Team Lead or the Business analysts.
If the change request is cosmetic, there is no need to change the entire Test plan, just the change should be mentioned in the Test Plan.
Suppose, if the change request is major, and if deals with the entire change Business workflow, then the new test plan is prepared for the test execution process.
However, the tester will not be involved in the preparation of test plan it will be done the Test Lead or Manager, who will schedule the process with respect the requirement change received

Re: change in requirements
PSA for sample test case document. Just go by "List to Net Calculation " sheet for test cases, rest are additional.
some field names can be different as per your customization of QC.
