The operator used in SQL for not equal is only <>. The syntax for that is
Formula1 <> Formula2
Explanation:
Is TRUE when the value at the left side of the operator is not equal to the value at the right side?
Example:
SELECT s1, s2, s3
FROM table1
WHERE s1 <> 0;
