1.There r two person each having same amount of
Marbles in the beginning and 1st person gains 20 more
From the second person and he eventually lose two
Thirds of it during the play and now the second person has 4times marbles of what first person is having now.find how much marbles did each had in the
beginning ?

Each of them started with 100 marbles.
It is given than 4( (a+20)/3 ) = 5a/3 +40/3 -20
solving this you will get a = 100

Yes, james is correct. i also got 100.
Solution:
1) both having intially x
2) second loses 20 to first one
so x+20 = x-20
3)first loses 2/3(x+20) to second, then second has 4 times of first
4 * 1/3(x+20) = (x-20)+ 2/3(x+20)
solving this we get 100.
