Actually, Testing is the process to find out the status of the product/project under test and help the stakeholders in making an effective decision.
Actually both are wrong.
and both are right.
If we are doing positive testing then case-1 is right.
If we are doing negative testing then case-2 is right.
Software testing is a process used to help identify the correctness,completeness,security and quality of developed computer software.
Software Testing is a process of checking the software against the user's requirement, mentioned in SRS(Software Requirement Specification) and FSD(Functional Specification Design).
Software Testing can't [B]confirm[/B] if s/w is working correctly. If so, the test team will also work to make the s/w work correctly, very much like the development does.
