Microwaved water
Microwaved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the boiling point. They can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. The superheated liquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or tea bag is put into it. To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds before moving it or adding anything into it.

Re: Microwaved water
That is indeed a good tip. The other thing is, the container won't be heated up when you heat food using Microwave oven... One shouldn't misjudge the heat of the food by touching the container.

Re: Microwaved water
These are good points raised !!!
But, how safe is micro-waved food?
The food looses all its natural ingredients once micro-waved in any kind of containers.
The food in plastic (thin or thick) and steel containers should not be micro-waved. The food mixed with the pure or impure solutions that the container is made of makes slow poison.
Is a common man today benefited by the natural ingredients in the food products? Is he enjoying his hard earned wealth? Are the inventions like microwave oven helping a common man live a long happy life like people in the olden days?

Re: Microwaved water
Can we boil vegetables without adding water in a microwave??Or else how much water to add??
-
Re: Microwaved water
As far as I know you can heat vegetables without water.
You can actually cook the same way you were cooking in LPG stove. The proportion won't vary for any of the dishes.
(I never really tried cooking too many things in Microwave )

Re: Microwaved water
Friends my doubt is this irrespective of the type of container placed in Microwave oven. Or will this apply only to certain type of containers.
