What is exact Meaning for Reliability testing? What is the Purpose of this ?

When Should we do perform this?

i want full details about this, if any konw the answer please send your respose quickly.

Because, this is my Task i have to summit this by 1'o clock.

Reliability Testing is to evaluate the ability of the s/w to perform its required functions under stated conditions for a specified period of time or for a large number of iterations.:D

Eg.:confused:
1) Querying a database continuously for 2 to 3 days.
2) Iterative logging in operation for say 15000 times.:eek:

about software we have to understnd first after product is that that wheather the software is reliable or not so we test the software product under diffrent condition to limits of software for this we create test suit
