Kill a session from client machine
I granted sysdba privilege to a user. In toad , Using that username from a client machine, I killed two sessions .
But in SQL *PLUS, using the same username, If I try to connect as sysdba from a client machine it is showing message
ORA-12203: TNS:unable to connect to destination
What might be the problem?
Re: Kill a session from client machine
set the init.ora parameter REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to EXCLUSIVE.
Re: Kill a session from client machine
Already it was set to EXCLUSIVE.
Re: Kill a session from client machine
Then try to grant the previliges again in sql*plus and execute the commands.

To connect sys/xxx as sysdba in client system, u need to follow below steps
1.in init.ora REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE to EXCLUSIVE
2.Client machine name should be included in ora_dba group (In server system)
3.set sqlnet.authentication_services=(NTS) In sqlnet.ora (in both server and client system)
