    Is coding neccessary for testing

    What advantage can a test engineer get if he/she has professional coding experience.On the cortary, I would also like to know that is any sort of coding experince neccessary for a test enginer to be successfull in his/her test career & for futher rise ?

    Actually whatsoever a tester have expertise it is his/her plus point.

    Your coding exp. is will greatly help you when you will switch to automated testing.

    I would say that coding experience is not a mandatory requirment needed for testing. But if a person has coding experience it would add to their work in testing. That is it would help them to do more efficient work or do work with more comfort and ease.
