To be a business analyst you need a lot (I do mean a lot) of experience in a particular business domain (and a particular area of that domain too).

For instance, if you want to be an analyst in brokerage, you should have a solid understanding of the finance domain in general and the brokerage firm in particular.

    Hope this helps

For a job of Business analyst one should have atleast 2-3 years of experiance. It would be preferrable if you pursue for MBA course in IT management and at this time its high time to increase your skills.

Sireesha - There are two areas of Business Analysis that one can be in (IT side, also known as Business Systems Analysis), and the Business side (analyzing the actual business). While these two have their own requirements, what both have in common is the analytical ability. If you have that ability, you can pull off either one of those roles (relatively easier than those that don't have analytical ability).
For IT Business Systems Analysis role, the key is analytical ability - plus, you need to have the ability to analyze and understand the specific systems you are working with (this differs from company to company).
On the other hand, to be a BA on the Business side, you need to understand the business. A degree, diploma, certificate, or at least a course in that specific area of business would definitely help you get thru to an entry-level position. Once you are there, you can build your own experience (and the resume). Remember that it takes time to be a good BA or BSA.
    All the best!
