    B.E. 55% aggerigate - Scope of Software Testing

    hi , have done my B.E in computer science and i am 2005 pass out . i was associated with a small organisation for some time , the moment i got passed out from my college. Then i got an opportunity in WIPRO BPO in a technical process. Was associated with WIPRO for almost 8 months. But i was not satsfied with a BPO job so i quit the job and now i am pursuing SOFTWARE TESTING course so that i can get back to my original track that is in software field. I have 55% aggerigate in B. E . which is the cause of worry , please suggest me out , is my decision right one and also what is the scope of software testing , to get the concerned job what should i do ??? waiting soon for the right advice

    hi friend,

    well u are in pune, and thats a good thing. make a try there. and one more thing u have to attach exp., its very difficult to manage without that. that is the harsh truth.

    with experince you can do a lot in IT but not fresher

    Try and learn scripting. A lot of testing processess require automation which primarily depend on scripting. Learning Unix commands can help too (in case the project they want you for is unix based).

    Learning winrunner, loadrunner etc may help, but I dont know ehat eprcentage of projects generally use these tools.

    Another useful thing to know is the basics of a configuration management tool (CVS, Subversion are good open source ones)
