Technologies needed to become a business analyst are not confined to a particular technology. However, being able to use applications such as Ms Visio and Ms Project as per Use Cases and to Map out your processess and to Organise your work in a coherent manner, is important. Again you may have to know any tech that will help you to do presentation e.g Ms PowerPoint and you will also need excel spread sheet for data analysis(strongly advised) or some Business Object technology that is specific or related to your organization.
