Provide Answer for Managing the Situation

If suppose a person is overqualified for the job he or she is applying and if in the interview he or she is questioned about that how well can they manage the situation?

You could say that the company would get additional potential and also though you may start at a lower level than your qualification in the starting by your abilities you could do best to the job taken and prove your worth which would take you up the ladder down the lane.

the issue employers have with the "overqualified" candidate is that they fear they will get bored and move on. employers would like to think a new hire is going to stick around for a while. ALWAYS prepare for this question and bear in mind that if you ARE overqualified it might be the wrong job for you. who wants to be bored? of course some people choose to take a job they're overqualified for because they've been at the top and consciously want to take a step backwards for various reasons. if that's your reason explain it to the employer.

Thanks for the answers. These gave me points for facing such questions if I am posed with those in the interview.
