Each time application opens new MSW_ID is assigned

WinRunner is unable to find an object because the Physical Description (MSW_ID) changes each time application is opened. Object could have null value or populated with dynamic value. Can the object be defined in the GUI map to cover all conditions?

Gui map editor displays the content of a gui map. We can invoke gui map editor from the tools menu in winrunner. The gui map editor displays the various gui map files created and the windows and objects learned in to them with their logical name and physical description.

Thumbs up Re: Each time application opens new MSW_ID is assigned

For handling dynamic value, you should use regular expressions in Gui file under GUI map for MSW ID class value.
Ex. - MSW ID = "!xyz.*"

Here xyz can be any value.

Will it be help to resolve the issue?
    Pls let me know.
