    Passing values from JCL to JCL

    I have a 10,000 records. if i give the value that record will display in spool area I have 50,000 records. i want from 20,000 to 30,000 recs copy in one file, 40000 to 50000 records copy in another file.

    I'm sorry, I don't understand your question.

    Are you trying to copy data from one dataset to another? Or are you trying to limit the number of records on any particular dataset?

    In the first case, you can use IEBGENER. If the second, you can use SAS, ICETOOL, etc.
