    Explain the Process in UNIX

When is the process that gets initiated when a UNIX operating system is started? I want to know the order of the process execution inside the UNIX system. Some brief idea on this would help me gain knowledge in this area.

Re: Explain the Process in UNIX

Process that gets initiated when a UNIX operating system is started is the init process. The init process controls the level the system is in. When changing levels the init process kills or in other words finishes forcefully all processes not specified for that level.
