    Test cases for HTML filtering

    Hi friends,

    One interesting question...

There is a text box control and user can enter HTML code in it.But there is list of tags, which may be harmful if accepted by server, as per server security issues, so text box will filter out those tags. Now tell me what can be negative text cases for this function?

    Regards,

Re: Test cases for HTML filtering

    good question indeed!!!
right now I can think of few as follows
    1. try putting a opening tag of one and ending tag of another - in short a mismatch of opening and ending tags. then proper error message should be displayed.
    2. what if we have some scripting language embedded in html (no clarity on that ) it should not accept example is javascript.
