    recording mode

    why we have to keep the tool(QTP) under recording mode while inserting the Checkpoints.....while selecting the recording modes.......while inserting synchronization point.

    Simple logic buddy ..See when u r automating an application why are you recording them ,ofcourse u can also do it descriptively but still we cant add objects to the repository for Checkpoints like we do for Descriptive programming ..isn't it ? So i think it doesnt work that way
    Please correct me if im wrong!!!

    It’s a valid question coz, while WinRunner doesn’t require us to be in recording mode to insert checkpoints, why does QTP want us to be in recording mode?

    May be that, QTP sets the environment to record every time it is put in recording mode and it needs that environment to be active while inserting checkpoints as well.

    Lack of WILL POWER has caused more failure than
    lack of INTELLIGENCE or ABILITY.
