    about thread and process..

    One of my friend ask this question...
    Why threads are called light weight and process are called heavy weight?

    This could be the reason. Usually in multithreaded programinng, the threads share the smae memory area where as processes have independent memory for each process.

    So, threads are light on memore where as processes are heavy.
