    Re: Find the radius of circle...

    Let radius of circle = x.
    Let side of square = a.
    then x = a/2.
    AC = x-4
    BC = x-2
    OC = x.
    From Pythagoras theorem we have
    OC^2 = OB^2 + BC^2
    OB = AC = x-4

    x^2 = (x-4)^2 + (x-2)^2

    From this we get two solutions for x. NEglectin the lower value of x, we get x = 10.
    So area of circle = pi * x^2 = 100 * pi

    Re: Find the radius of circle...

    The Diameter of the circle can be calculated as:

    D=sqroot(2*2 +4*4)=sqroot(20)=4.4721 (aprox)

    Hence radius of the circle = 2.2360 (aprox)
