If QTP is not able to recognise a particular window

Question asked by visitor Ashok Kumar

If QTP is not able to recognise or is not recording a particular window.
What do we have to do? I was asked this question in one Interview.

Eigher of the following actions will solve the problem: (follow that order)

    1) Run the LEARN option on the window to see if QTP recognizes all the components in the window.

    2) Check the add-in list for the tool that the s/w is developed in, if not then select it and start recording again.

    3) If it still doesn't work, request the development team to highlight the platform in which the window is developed in. And check if your version of QTP supports this platform.

Lack of WILL POWER has caused more failure than
    lack of INTELLIGENCE or ABILITY.

Check for the Add-Ins first. Check if there are proper add ins for the application you rae using
If still you are facing problem, then add the objects manually and write the codes your self.
