Distance.....

A van travelled from down X to Y. His speed at DownHill 72mph and UpHill 56 mph and Level 63mph. It takes 4 hours to travel form X to Y and takes 4 hours and 40 minutes to travel from Y to X. Find the distance between X and Y ?

Speed = distance/time

time = distance / speed

by using this formula i got the answer as 273 miles.

a/72+b/56+c/63=4 (equation in hours)
a/63+b/56+c/72=4hours 40minutes=(4*3+2)/3=14/3

adding these two equation will get a+b+c=273 miles
