The smallest number of boys will be 5 because each child has at least 4 brothers. (suppose, we are talking about Ram. Ram will also have at least 4 brothers. Thus, minimum number of boys will be 5.)
Similarly, the smallest number of girl will be 5.
Thus, the smallest number of children will be 10.
But i think the minimum number will be 9...As ritesh said., If we consider Ram., he will ve 4 brothers and 4 sisters.That doesnt imply that one more girl child is required.ram himself can 've a sister.
So the minimum number of children in the family will be 9!!

But, if we consider a girl child Rani, she will also have at least 4 sisters. It means, there will be at least 5 girls in the family. Isn't it?
